Assistant Installation Manager / Manufacturing Assistant

This position will successfully install Bright Agrotech’s ZipFarm and ZipGrow equipment while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Additionally, it will be required to complete Bright Agrotech’s sales process by maintaining our positive customer relationships through timely and accurate order manufacturing. Extensive domestic and international travel is required.

Manufacturing Engineer

The manufacturing engineer will work with the Product Development team to ensure products are designed for packaging, manufacturing and assembly. They will create documentation for fabrication, installation and operation; monitor quality control; and participate in engineering change management processes.  A manufacturing engineer will be required to provide insight for best manufacturing methods for various products.  They will also work with the manufacturing team to build product and ensure quality.  The manufacturing engineer will be familiar with all of the inventory, assembly, and final products.  The manufacturing engineer may be asked to travel with the installation team to insure equipment is being installed correctly.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Background in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Fusion or similar engineering software
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Experience with manufacturing and fabrication processes
  • Experience with various manufacturing methods, such as metal fabrication, injection molding, and others

Scrappy Marketing Apprentice

We are searching for a part-time Marketing Apprentice. As an apprentice you will be working directly with the CMO (and other Marketing team members) and learn by working directly in the business.

So imagine the day you open up your email and see the ‘You’ve been hired’ subject line from us. What happens next?

You’re going to be jumping in and doing some serious linchpin work, all the while learning what it takes to be part of a scrappy marketing team. As a flexible thinker, you’re going to be taking ownership of a variety of growth-related tasks. We’ll support you as much as possible and some of the work will include:

  • creating and coordinating user surveys
  • editing documents and various marketing materials 
  • helping with Product Launches
  • supporting other marketing campaigns
  • content and Media production

Product Development Software Position

This position will integrate software into Bright Agrotech’s products that is reliable and user friendly, with a chance to be involved in making software interfaces to exciting projects including distributed systems, machine learning, and embedded hardware.

Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will oversee Bright Agrotech’s daily accounting activities. They will be responsible for ensuring that reconciliations and closes occur in a timely manner, implementing accounting and finance strategies, and managing all aspects of accounts receivable and payable.

Estimated Hours Per Week: Full-time preferred. Flexible or part-time (25-30 hours/week) scheduling may be possible for exceptionally qualified candidates.

Preferred Skills  and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (minimum)
  • Experience working with QuickBooks Desktop Accounting Software
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • High attention to detail 
  • Knowledge of GAAP rules and other legal compliance standards

The Project Manager will coordinate all project-related tasks, resources, and communicate in a way that drives the optimal results for Bright Agrotech and its clients. The Manufacturing Manager will assist with manufacturing equipment, quality control testing, and keeping project deadlines. Video Production Student Internship

We are looking for an individual who is hungry to learn as much as they can about the process of creating various types of media – primarily video. They must be passionate about the creative process of executing on original ideas and creating a final product. Having experience in video production isn’t necessary for this internship, but can be of value for applicants applying. The ZipFarm Intern will engage in hands-on learning experiences in the Bright Agrotech ZipFarm. Under the supervision of the ZipFarm Manager, the ZipFarm Intern will learn about and assist with daily plant care, seeding, transplanting, harvesting, pest control, dosing, other hydroponic system management, and data collection. 

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Student in Agroecology, Agricultural Business, Horticulture, or a related agricultural field
  • Past experience with growing plants in a garden, field, or greenhouse setting

  • Basic knowledge of crops and crop problems

  • Basic mechanical (plumbing and electrical) knowledge
